In case you are not familar with the Slurpee, the home in question would be 7-Eleven.  For the price of two Slurpees you may soon be able to pick up a bottle of their private label, Yosemite Road.  That’s $3.99 – a bottle – for a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Chardonnay.

Here’s what the press release says:

Experienced, award winning wine makers John Willumson and Jim McDonald were tapped for the task,  The winning vintners created a Chardonnay, described as fresh and zesty with notes of apricots, peach, and honey, and a full-bottled Cabernet Sauvignon with juicy plum overtones.  Both are well balanced, offered at an affordable price and can be enjoyed anytime of the year.

I don’t know about this.  I have had Two Buck Chuck (although I think the price has gone up a bit) and it wasn’t awful.  This one is giving me pause.  Unfortunately New Jersey does not permit wine sales in food stores, so I may have a hard time securing Yosemite Road to review.  If anyone out there tries some, please let me know what you think.
