cavitpinot.jpgCavit Collection is a widely available, value priced producer from Italy.  The Pinot Grigio is probably the best known of their offerings.

It is a slightly bright straw color in the glass.  Not a huge nose, but the impression is refreshing.  Like you expect from a Pinot Grigio, it is light and clean in the mouth.  Main flavors are green apple with a touch of critrus.  Overall it is quite crisp.

The 2006 Cavit Pinot Grigio is a good everyday value for those who favor Pinot Grigio or dry, light wines.  It would go well with ligth pastas, seafood, and white meats.
