Prosecco is another Italian sparkling wine along with Asti Spumante. Like Asti Spumante, Prosecco tends to be on the sweet end of the flavor spectrum - not necessarily the Wine Witch’s preference. Surprisingly the Lunetta Prosecco is quite dry. Even more surprising it is produced by Cavit whose other wines are fair to middling.
In the glass it is pale gold with a bit of green and has lots of teeny bubbles and nice white foam. Apple is the main thing going on here with just a little spice. This Prosecco is very well balanced and refreshing.
The Lunetta Prosecco was a very pleasant surprise and a strong recommend
