Placido Pinot Grigio 2006 Italy

placidopinot.jpgThe 2006 Placido Pinot Grigio is a reliable, widely available Pinot that will appeal to those who do not like their wine too assertive.  It is also available in 1.5 bottles which makes it a good choice for holiday parties.

It is a very pale straw in the glass with a light fruit aroma.  It has some pleasant fruit flavors of apple and a little citrus.  It is not bitter which can sometimes happen with value priced Pinot Grigios.  All in all a good party wine which can be sipped throughout the night.
